Hummingbird Open House

On June 7, 2025, join University of Lethbridge hummingbird researchers at the Westcastle Field Station to learn more about their work, and to see and learn about these amazing little birds.
The station will be open for visitors from 10 am to 4 pm. You may come and go as you like.
Parking is available at the Syncline/Barnaby staging area, 15 km southwest of the Castle Park boundary along Highway 774. A 650 m walking trail leads to the Research Station.
For those with limited mobility, there are a handful of parking spaces closer to the station.
The station washroom facilities are not barrier free, but there are accessible washrooms at the staging area.
The event will proceed rain or shine. Some of the activities will take place outside, so please be prepared for all conditions.
