National Geographic Geotourism Destination
As one of nine geotourism initiatives in North America, the Crown of the Continent region is recognized as a special place to visit. The Crown of the Continent Geotourism Council was formed in 2007 and they are now partners with National Geographic to share the beauty and unique attractions of the region.

Upcoming hikes and events
Throughout the summer, the CCWC hosts a variety of hikes and events throughout the Castle Wilderness. The hikes are free, but any donations are always appreciated to keep the hikes going year after year.
